The Short Filmmakers Project is all about you. Your stories, your experiences are the heart of this project. Do you have a great story of community activism to share? Not ready to pick up the camera? Just let us know and we will show you how. One way or another we will find a way for you to tell your story so that your experience of making a difference in your community will be shared to the world.

How To Enter Contest
The Video Contest is now open for submissions, with an extended deadline: TBA.
First Place Prize - CASH PRIZE TBA.
Second Place Prize - HD Video Camera.
Grab any video camera you can find.  Make a short video related to community activism (3 minutes max). Tell us your true story or interview a relative or friend about thier community project.  Or go out and show us some community activism that you see in your community. Be creative.
All material must be original (you created it), not using any commercial or licensed material (including music). The top finalists will be posted on the website for the public to vote on their favorites.  The first place winner will receive a CASH PRIZE TBD.  The second place winner will receive an HD Video Camera.
All video formats are accepted for submission.  For best quality, here’s what we would prefer:

Submit online. High quality (preferably uncompressed) .mov or .avi file, up to 3 minutes.

How to submit your videos for the Short Filmmakers Project Contest.

  1. Produce your video
  2. Create a YouTube Channel
  3. Upload your video
  4. Share it with EVERYONE you know --OR want to know!
  5. Share it with Peter Liciaga via your YouTube Channel (use his email address pliciaga@gmail.com )
  6. Evaluation & Approval: video MUST be evaluated & approved by Peter Liciaga to insure that it meets "commercial and license" and quality criteria (see above)
  7. Filmmakers Project YouTube Channel: Once it is evaluated AND approved, it will be added to the "Favorites" section of the Filmmakers Project YouTube Channel.
  8. Promote your video & get EVERYONE you know to "Like" / "Thumbs Up" it
  9. Deadline for submitting your videos is TBD (you can submit as many videos as you like)
  10. Winners will be announced TBD (1st and 2nd place winners only)
