The First Blog for the Short-short Films Project

I’m Peter Liciaga, that’s me (the old fella) on the left. I’m a martial arts teacher (20 years now) and I have, literally, taught thousands of people about subjects relating to self-defense.

This project, "Short-short Film Project Blog,” is my effort to use the web to document really good lessons (at least) for youth—to supplement face-to-face workshops I’m giving to youth.

Since I have a LOT of really interesting friends in the filmmaking world, I’m asking some of them to contribute content (like videos, articles, and relevant links) so that the lessons are BETTER than what I could produce without their help.

The mission? Of course it’s to help the youth learn some very important lessons about short-short filmmaking, but while they’re learning these lessons, we might as well include everyone who’s interested in filmmaking, yes?

In today’s world, filmmaking isn’t only about multi-million dollar budgets and CGI, it’s about telling a story, advancing a cause, community activism, environmental concerns, and being easy, affordable, accessible & fun too!

So look to this site as I/we start to collect and deliver the lessons (and videos). Please feel free to add your input —and thank you for being here!

PS...Be sure to find out about our Short Filmmaker Project CONTEST with a cash prize of $500!!!
